meet rachel beck, executive director

Rachel has more than 20 years of experience in local and state public policy development, campaign management, strategic communication, and bringing together diverse stakeholders to build consensus on community issues.

Rachel Beck, Executive Director of the Colorado Competitive Council

As executive director for the Colorado Competitive Council, she oversees development and execution of the organization’s policy advocacy and programs, working with members and stakeholders around the state. She previously served as Vice President, Government Affairs, for the Colorado Springs Chamber and Economic Development Corporation, where she built a policy advocacy program on behalf of the organization’s 1,400 members. She has managed multiple successful ballot initiative campaigns leading to hundreds of millions in infrastructure funding in Southern Colorado.

Rachel has also served as a public information officer, speech writer and community outreach manager in various local government roles.

She was named one of Colorado Politics’ Nonpartisan Leaders to Watch in 2020 and a Rising Star by the Colorado Springs Business Journal in 2017. She hold a master’s degree in political management from the George Washington University and an MBA.
